In England, National Apprenticeship Week is a week-long celebration of apprenticeships. It is organised by the National Apprenticeship Service and will be held for the 15th time this year.

NAW brings together all characters from the apprenticeship community, including employers, training providers, apprentices, and young people considering pursuing an apprenticeship.

Even though things were a little different last year, NAW 2022 is expected to follow in the footsteps of its predecessor. It will be a week-long celebration of apprentices, namely how they may achieve their professional objectives by developing skills throughout an apprenticeship.

For the second year in a row, the theme of NAW 2022 has been declared as ‘Build the Future.’ ‘Build the Future,’ according to the National Apprenticeship Service, wants to ’emphasis on the advantages apprenticeships can have on individuals, companies, and local communities.’

What is the significance of NAW?

Apprenticeships are now seen as a legitimate and equal option to attending university.

Previously, they were viewed as for entry points into trade sectors, ideal for young people aspiring to be electricians or plumbers. Apprenticeships were designed for persons who were not academically gifted. That was a general impression.

Now, the situation is different. Apprenticeships are a sensible path for high achievers who wish to begin a job immediately after graduating from high school or college. There are also chances available from all the major corporations in every industry.

Every year, the number and variety of apprenticeships available expands. That is why NAW is so vital… to promote the incredible experiences of previous and present apprentices and motivate others to begin their own careers
